What inspired me? It was Audrey Sunburn, believe it or not. I joined your list because of Audrey a long time ago and when I saw her necklace - and I loved it, I absolutely loved it. I have been doing other beadwork for about 6 years, and never thought about mixing the two mediums. What a brilliant idea!
My beadwork has evolved from following the patterns, to changing patterns "just a little", to adapting totally different color schemes, to designing some of my own works. I have now experimented with free form peyote, macrame, polymer clay additions to beadwork, and now, needleweaving. My trip to Korea in 1999 has dramatically altered my beadwork and given a definite Asian influence to my work. More specifically, my statement in my signature block kinda sums up my thinking, which is....
"My beadwork represents my individuality and my beliefs in personal freedom"
