Needleweaving Pictures for Lesson #4 (More on designing and placing pins)

Large Pictures for Lesson 4

#1
Draw the placement of beads, and even the colors of threads that you want to use. This gives you map, which you can change any time you need too.

#2
Shows waxed linen and bank pins.

#3    Important Note about Bank Pins
This pattern has an uneven number of bank pins
across the bottom (19 GREEN dots),
and an even number of bank pins
across the top (20 RED dots).

Check to be sure that bank pins are correctly placed.
The pins across the top go BETWEEN
the graph paper lines on the RED dots.
The bank pins across the bottom go ON
the lines with the GREEN dots.

Notice here that if you moved any pins up or down on the pattern it would change the outside edge.
This is where all the different designing of the outer edge takes place.
