The book first book "Beads and Threads" by Helen Banes and Diane Fitzgerald, which I recommended highly.  Helen and her student's work are very impressive. The book wasn't printed at that time I took the class.  I will be explaining the needleweaving method my way, but it goes along with Helen's method. Helen Banes and her daughter Sally Banes book "Fiber & Bead Jewelry" tells about how her work is inter-woven with her life, just as her love for beads and threads are inter-woven into her jewelry. This book has beautiful contemporary designs and a series of smaller patterns. Helen's designs and energy are so inspiring that I'm sure you will want this book. Sorry, I'm out of stock at this time.

Other artist always inspire me, so if you would like to see other needleweaving to inspire you. My gallery on weavings are located at Ginger's Inspiration Book at
Ginger's Inspirations. A wonderful collection of Yahoo Needleweaver's Group can be found at the Member's Needleweaver's Showcase

You will find a page that lists all the supplies that you need to gather together. If you want to join us just get your supplies together. Start the Lessons, come in at any time and advance at your own pace. I would love to see your creations and If you would like to join the group just click the link below. I will add your pictures to the showcase and make you the next featured member/artist. Most of you want to use the smaller #2 ply waxed linen, because it enables you to use smaller beads. The larger ply #3 gives your necklace a little more weight.  All the necklaces in the Inspiration book were made with this larger thread. Please check out all the fantastic colors that are available in Needleweaving Needleweaver's Supply List

The pattern design for Lesson #1 is located at Needleweavers INFO. There will be instructions how to adjust and move the pins that will show you how to form different outer shapes of a necklace.
